Motion

Rain, Rain (2008). At the bottom of the cul-de-sac water rushes to the sewer drain. This is more of an implied motion, more of a moment in time, but we all know the end result.

Triangles

Intense Viewer (2008). During a football game, Lindsey sits with her legs close to her chest and her arms placed on her knees. The form of her body divides the frame into 2 triangles.

Single Point

White Spot (2008). The sun shines through the stems of the tree and blinds the viewer in a way that keeps their focus on that spot.

Several Points

Kittens (2008). Three week old kittens huddled together on the laundry room floor look up at the person disrupting their nap.

Focus

Weed Grass (2008). The focus is in the top-center of the photograph, and the stem touching the lens and below the center of focus are blurred.

Diagonal Lines

Sideline Markers (2008). During half time, the markers lie on the ground creating diagonals with the sidelines.

Curves

Rectangles/Circles (2008). A grate at the base of a tree on campus.
